State Police hail success of drug take back day

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan State Police has declared their April 27 “Drug Take Back Day” a success.

The event was held in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Agency on April 27. The MSP First District X account reports that “71.3 pounds of unwanted RX drugs” were received by the agency.

RX is an abbreviation for prescription.

Posts in Lansing, Brighton, Jackson, and Monroe participated.

The post says MSP is accepting unwanted prescription medication at their locations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
