State police charge three teens, juvenile with causing $20K of vandalism at CT high school

Three teens and a juvenile have been charged with vandalizing a high school in Deep River, causing more than $20,000 worth of damages.

Jonathan Gosnell, 18, Henry Grabowski, 18, and Mackie Olynnger, 18, each face charges of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief, according to Connecticut State Police.

The juvenile who was arrested faces the same charges, state police said.

According to state police, troopers on April 7 received the report of vandalism occurring at the Valley Regional High School located at 256 Kelsey Hill Road. Officials told police that the damage occurred in the main building and a temporary classroom during the overnight hours.

State police said more than $20,000 in damages were reported.

Troopers investigated with assistance from Deep River Police and school officials.

The investigation led to warrants being obtained for Gosnell, Grabowski and Olynnger. They were released following their arrests and are expected to appear on different dates in May in Middletown Superior Court.
