State law enforcement investigating officer-involved shooting at SC State

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCBD) — An officer-involved shooting occurred Friday at South Carolina State University.

University Relations Director Sam Watson confirmed that a shooting occurred Friday afternoon. He also said there is no ongoing threat to student safety.

No information was given regarding injuries.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating, which is standard when there is an officer-involved shooting in South Carolina.
