Starbucks robbery suspect arrested in Placer County after crashing during pursuit

(FOX40.COM) — A Starbucks robbery in Sacramento County led to a pursuit through Placer County and the eventual arrest of a man on Wednesday, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

Sometime around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies spotted a man believed to be connected to the robbery of a Starbucks in Citrus Heights.

The vehicle was confirmed to be a suspect vehicle connected to the robbery and deputies attempted to stop the man as he left Thunder Valley Casino in Placer County.

A pursuit began that lasted about seven minutes as the man crashed near Washington Boulevard and Roseville Parkway, according to the sheriff’s office.

Only the suspect vehicle was involved in the crash and the man was taken into custody.

The area of the crash was closed from about 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. as deputies processed the scene and the crash vehicle and debris were cleared from the roadway.
