Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week

Alicia Espinoza has consistently produced offensively for Central Valley all season, leading the team in batting average, hits, doubles and triples while coming in second in RBI.

She was at her best when the Hawks needed her as Espinoza led the Hawks to their first Central California Conference win, producing two hits with one triple and three RBI in an 11-3 win over Atwater. She was one of five players to tally multiple hits and one of three players with a triple.

The fans noticed her performance, voting her The Bee’s girls Player of the Week.

Espinoza earned 49% of the more than 37,000 votes in the weekly poll. She finished first ahead of softball players Maddy Flores of Downey and Grace Leedom of Hughson who finished second and third, respectively.
