Keller Chryst will pursue a graduate transfer.

Chryst, the Stanford quarterback who lost his starting role to K.J. Costello midway through the 2017 season, announced the news via Twitter on Sunday. Chryst said he will leave Stanford after he graduates in June.

Chryst was 6-0 as a starter in 2016, throwing for 905 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions along the way. He opened the 2017 season as the team’s No. 1 quarterback but was benched in favor of Costello after a rough performance against Oregon State. For the season, Chryst threw for 962 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 54.2 percent of his passes.

As a graduate transfer, Chryst will be immediately eligible wherever he lands. According to USA Today’s Dan Wolken, Tennessee could be a landing spot for Chryst.
