A Tuesday open house will seek public input on the Stadium Freeway North's future.

The Stadium Freeway's future, which could include converting part of it to a surface street, will be the subject of an open house meeting Tuesday.

The public involvement meeting for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Reimagining WIS 175 Study will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Washington Park Senior Center, 4420 W. Vliet St.

The open house will feature preliminary alternatives for the Stadium Freeway/State Highway 175. WisDOT is considering an at-grade boulevard conversion between Wisconsin and Lisbon avenues.

WisDot and local officials are seeking public input on the alternatives, which are to be unveiled Tuesday.  Project representatives will be present to discuss the study on an individual basis.

WisDOT is conducting the study in partnership with Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee. Additional information is at wisconsindot.gov/reimagine175. Meeting materials also will be posted at bit.ly/wis175.

The meeting facility is accessible via Milwaukee County Transit Service Route 33 and is wheelchair accessible. People who want an interpreter at the meeting, or another accommodation, can contact WisDOT project representative Doug Cain at (262) 546-5603, or Douglas.cain@dot.wi.gov.

Hearing impaired individuals needing assistance may contact the WisDOT representative via the Wisconsin Telecommunication Relay System (dial 711 and request to connect with 262-546-5603). To allow time for arranging accommodations, please reach out several working days prior to the meeting.
