St. Pete man hit, killed by two cars while crossing street: FHP

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg man was killed after being hit by two cars early Sunday morning, troopers said.

A release from the Florida Highway Patrol said at 1:25 a.m., the pedestrian, a 46-year-old man, walked into the path of a Chevrolet Bolt driven by a Los Angeles man who was heading east on 54th Avenue North.

After being hit by the first car, the pedestrian was hit again by a Civic driven by a Seminole man. Both vehicles stopped at the scene.

According to the FHP, the pedestrian died at the scene. The first driver was injured and taken to a local hospital.
