St. Pat's group has 'Takeout Takeovers' at St. Paul Irish restaurants, selling buttons and masks with takeout orders

Feb. 25—The St. Pat's Association, which sponsors St. Patrick's Day festivities in St. Paul, is selling buttons and masks for the annual event with takeout orders at local restaurants during "Takeout Takeovers."

The group previously announced that the St. Patrick's Day parade would be a drive-through event for 2021, with parade participants standing in the old Sears parking lot on Rice Street and viewers driving through. Reservations for the parade are no longer available.

For Takeout Takeovers, masks and buttons are $5 each with takeout orders. Participating restaurants and dates are:

— Feb. 27, Bennett's Chop and Railhouse, 5-8 p.m.

— March 6, Half Time Rec, 5-8 p.m.

— March 13, West Seventh Takeover Night at Shamrocks Irish Nook. Joe & Stan's Pub and Grill and Bennett's, 5-8 p.m.
