St. Marys seeking storm damage contractors

ST. MARYS – (KSNT) The City of St. Marys is looking for contractors to repair storm damage on numerous government buildings.

The St. Marys community was hit hard by a storm that caused power outages and damage across the city on April 17. This also led to police entering non-emergency reporting and the issuance of a boil water advisory for some residents.

According to a press release, the city will be offering contracts to businesses that will provide the following:

  1. Most thorough reports.

  2. Ability to assist the city in evaluating damages to ensure the city is assessing damages
properly when working with the insurance adjuster.

  3. Exhibit ability to perform all needed restorations.

  4. Experience working large loss claims.

Contractors should help the city in discussions and assessments on damage and find efficient and effective solutions to restore the properties.

To be eligible, contractors must meet the following requirements:

  1. Valid State Registration: Provide a current roofing registration certificate from the
    Attorney General’s office.

  2. Certificate of Insurance (COI): Provide a valid COI for your company.

  3. Experience: Provide proof of professional business operations.

  4. Commercial References: Provide up to 3 commercial references.

Contractors who are interested should submit a letter of intent and provide details on experience, license, certifications and references. All submissions must be submitted by noon on Monday, June 3, 2024.
