St. Luke's cuts the ribbon on new health center in Spring Township
Apr. 12—St. Luke's Health Center cut the ribbon on a new health center Thursday in Spring Township.
Officials said the center at 2701 Shillington Road represents the health network's entry into the greater Reading region to help meet a growing need for care in the community. The center offers primary and urgent care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and diagnostic lab and radiology services.
The center began treating patients in the 12,300 square-foot facility on April 1.
"We are honored and pleased to provide residents access to the high-quality, award-winning care for which our network is well known," said Bill Moyer, regional president of St. Luke's University Health Network. "We thank the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and local civic leaders for welcoming us here, and we ensure patients will receive exceptional treatment and outstanding customer service at this new facility."
Moyer said local providers Dr. John Manubay and Marija Rice, certified registered nurse practitioner, have joined the staff at the center and are welcoming their current and new patients to the Spring Township location. With more than 25 years of combined experience in providing primary patient care for the whole family, they specialize in preventive care, immunizations, physical exams, routine care and the treatment of acute and chronic health conditions.
"Maintaining an established relationship with a primary care provider is critical for the long-term health and well-being of your family," Manubay said.
