St. Louis Riverboat Cruise to offer solar eclipse views

ST. LOUIS – Still looking for plans around the solar eclipse? It won’t be in totality around St. Louis, but there are still some unique opportunities to enjoy the phenomenon.

The St. Louis Riverboat Cruise will offer a partial eclipse viewing experience Monday afternoon around the solar eclipse from the Mississippi River.

Results: April 2 Missouri Municipal Election

During the upcoming solar eclipse, the moon will pass between the sun and the planet Earth. In a partial stage, like what St. Louis will experience weather permitting, a portion of the moon will cover the sun’s disk and a portion of the sun will remain visible.

On the upcoming riverboat cruise, passengers can take in the experience on the Tom Sawyer riverboat. Organizers say the event will offer “incredible views of the Gateway Arch and St. Louis skyline as the partial eclipse is taking place.”

The ride will begin around 1:30 p.m., just before the eclipse rolls through St. Louis. Tickets start at $14 for children and $24 for adults. For more information, click here.
