All lanes of westbound SR-54 at I-805 closing Friday for construction
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Caltrans will close all lanes of westbound State Route 54 at Interstate 805 starting Friday, near the area of the Westfield Plaza Bonita shopping mall.
Crews will close the westbound State Route 54 ramps to I-805 on both northbound and southbound sides of the interstate. They will also close all lanes of westbound SR-54 at Reo Drive and Plaza Bonita Center Way.
East Village gets new parking meters
The closures go into effect Friday at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday. Caltrans says crews will be repairing drainage systems and depressions on the roadway.
In the meantime, detours will be put in place near the Reo Drive/Plaza Bonita Center Way off-ramp.
Drivers will be able to access I-805 by turning on Sweetwater Road and entering either the northbound or southbound on-ramps. They can access westbound SR-54 by continuing on Sweetwater Road/E. 30th Street and turning left on Highland Avenue to the westbound on-ramp.
