‘Resource squad’ for Jewish students meets with University of Denver officials

DENVER (KDVR) — Members of the Jewish student body at the University of Denver met with top school officials, saying they have concerns about antisemitism and bigotry.

A spokesperson for a group known as the Resource Squad met with both the school’s chancellor and provost. The meeting comes as a pro-Palestine encampment protest continues on the DU campus against the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

A campus organizer said Jewish students have been on the receiving end of hateful messaging from other students.

“There’s a group chat we’re in. People have reported feeling unsafe,” said Jaiden Skinner, who’s also a student at the school.

In a statement, the school said there have been no reports of violence against Jewish students on campus.
