Sprouts Farmers Market Victorville announces grand opening celebration plans
Sprouts Farmers Market Victorville has announced plans for a three-day grand opening celebration.
The grand opening party begins with a ribbon cutting at 6:45 a.m. on March 15. The grocery store's doors will open following the ribbon cutting. The newest Sprouts is located at 12450 Amargosa Road.
“We are ecstatic to welcome the very first Sprouts Farmers Market in the High Desert to the great City of Victorville,” Mayor Liz Becerra said. “We are grateful to Sprouts for planting its roots in Victorville and for offering natural, healthy food options that promote a strong community.”
Becerra added that Sprouts joins a diverse lineup of Victorville retailers, which continues to add to the “overall quality of life of our residents.”
Best known for offering fresh produce, meats and organic food, the new Sprouts took over the 18,600-square-foot building that formerly housed Toys “R” Us on Amargosa Road in Victorville.
The former toy giant officially closed the Victorville location in June 2018 as the company shuttered its final 735 stores.
The new Sprouts is located in a retail center, anchored by stores such as 99 Cents Only, Party City, Get Air and Hobby Lobby.
Grand opening weekend
The grand opening celebration from March 15 to 17 includes a variety of activities, including a “pop-up party” at the store.
The party will give guests the chance to taste seasonal produce from the tasting bar, participate in a “guess the weight” contest of an oversized piece of produce and more.
The first 100 shoppers on March 15 and 16 will receive a free “Goodness it’s Free” reusable goodie bag filled with special products and samples.
Inside the store, shoppers can taste new products from innovative brands at the Vendor Village. Plus, music and prize giveaways throughout the weekend will add to the festivities.
In anticipation of the opening, shoppers will have the chance to win a $500 Sprouts gift card through midnight on March 17 when they sign up via the website.
Customers who text “VILLE” to 777-688 will receive 20% off their purchase over the grand opening weekend when they scan their app account barcode at checkout—up to two redemptions per Sprouts account per day.
Shoppers can also view Sprouts’ weekly ad and save more than $100 with digital coupons on grocery staples and new items every month on the app.
Sprouts community involvement
Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the Victorville store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient-rich to Feeding America Riverside/San Bernardino, a local food bank that provides wholesome food to families and individuals at risk of hunger.
