Springboro Police Draw Tasers, Arrest Former Ohio Congressional Candidate

Former 1st Congressional District for Ohio candidate Samuel Ronan was arrested by Springboro, Ohio, police in the early morning hours of June 9, according to police and local media.

Ronan ran as a Democrat for the Ohio House of Representatives in 2016 and then as a Republican for the 1st Congressional District of Ohio in 2018, but lost both elections.

The former candidate was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, obstructing official business and obstructing justice and is being held at the Warren County Jail, according to local media, citing police and jail records.
