Spring Turkey Run offers classic-car feast at Daytona International Speedway: What to know

Chrome, carburetors and custom cars soon will shine as the 34th Annual Spring Daytona Turkey Run classic car show again rolls into Daytona International Speedway.

When the three-day event unfolds March 22-24, expect the track’s immense infield to be jammed with classic and custom cars, a multitude of the gearheads who love them and every imaginable automotive accessory from toggle switches to tailpipes.

What happens at the Daytona Spring Turkey Run?

In addition to the display of more than 5,000 collectible vehicles, daily events include a massive swap meet as well as an array of vendors with art and fashion items tailored to the four-wheel crowd.

On Sunday’s closing day, events feature the annual 2 p.m. Classic Car Parade Lap around the Speedway track. For those with classic cars, it’s included in the event’s participant fee.

How many cars does the Daytona Turkey Run have?

Besides the aforementioned 5,000 collectible show cars on display, the event also showcases some 1,500 customized vehicles for sale by owners in the Car Corral. If you need parts for your classic beauty, there are more than 2,000 vendors at the swap meet with an array of items both mechanical and aesthetic.

What are other not-to-miss Turkey Run events?

The Hops & Hoods Beer Festival returns, offering an assortment of more than 120 different lagers, IPAs and other varieties from more than 40 breweries nationwide.

It happens from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the Speedway infield. Tickets are $5 for four samples; $10 for ten samples; or $35 for unlimited samples. You can buy Hops & Hoods tickets online or at the event.

Also returning in 2024 is Turkey Run Nites, a free outdoor car show held in the parking lot outside Daytona International Speedway on International Drive. It runs from 6-10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, March 21-23. Admission and parking is free.

The classic-car show runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23; and from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
