Spring Hill College holds 2024 commencement ceremony

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Spring Hill College held its commencement ceremony Saturday morning on the Avenue of the Oaks.

The Class of 2024 walked down the avenue to get their diplomas at 9 a.m. May 11.

Fordham University’s President Tania Tetlow gave the commencement speech.

“This year’s commencement is extra special since COVID pandemic restrictions in 2020 forced many graduating seniors to miss out on their high school graduation,” read Spring Hill’s website.

“To have lost out on that monumental walk across stage is disheartening, to say the least. But now, those same students anticipate graduating the way they intended all those years ago — among the support of family and friends and the roaring sounds of applause.”

The commencement ceremony was live-streamed on YouTube.
