There are sports personalities all over Katy Perry's new music video
On Thursday, five-time American Music Award winner Katy Perry dropped a rather odd new music video for her song “Swish Swish.” The song itself, which came out back in May, features rapper Nicki Minaj, while the new music video stars more than a few figures familiar to sports fans including the likes of Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and hotdog eating champion Joey Chestnut.
Check it out for yourself.
In the video, Perry is the captain of a fictional basketball team that is outmatched in every capacity by their opponent. Thanks to a halftime pep talk/performance from Nicki Minaj, Perry’s team is somehow revitalized and able to play at a much higher level.
In addition to the aforementioned Gronk, Towns and Chestnut, Hall of Famer Bill Walton, commentator Rich Eisen, former NFL linebacker Terry Crews, wrestler Kia Stevens and strongman Thor Bjornsson also make appearances in the music video.
