A lot of people think daily-driving a sports car is a bad idea. There's less space, questionable bad-weather performance, and often times, dismal visibility. But there are some sports cars out there that actually make for great daily drivers.

Take the Porsche Cayman, for example. For the better part of last year I drove a last-gen six-speed base model over 600 miles every week from my home in upstate New York into Manhattan. Despite all the claims that sports cars are too rough and bothersome to use for a commute to work, I had virtually no problem sitting in the driver's seat for hours on end.

The suspension was tight, yet comfortable, and the interior was well-appointed with heated leather seats and a nice sound system. It even got over 30 mpg if driven with a light foot. The gearbox was easy to use, and if the mirrors were set up correctly, visibility wasn't an issue.

Now we want to know: What performance cars do you think would make great daily drivers? Or, even better, tell us what sports car you commute to work in. Let us know in the comments below.
