Spectrum Pharma names Kurt Gustafson, formerly of Halozyme and Amgen, as new CFO

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) -- Spectrum Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Wednesday named Kurt Gustafson as its new chief financial officer.

Gustafson was the CFO of biotech drugmaker Halozyme Therapeutics Inc. from 2009 until last month. Before that he was an executive at Amgen Inc.

Brett Scott has been Spectrum's acting CFO since October 2010. The company said he will take the role of senior vice president of finance.

Shares of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals slipped 17 cents to $8.02 in morning trading.
