Special counsel Robert Hur: Classified documents report does not conclude that Biden is senile.

Special counsel Robert Hur said his report on President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents does not conclude that Biden is “senile.”

“Webster’s Dictionary defines senile as ‘exhibiting a decline of cognitive ability, such as memory, associated with old age.’ Mr. Hur, based on your report, did you find the president was senile?” Republican Rep. Scott Fitzgerald of Wisconsin asked the special counsel in a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Capitol Hill Tuesday.

“I did not—that conclusion does not appear in my report, congressman,” Hur replied.

Earlier in his testimony, Hur defended the controversial analysis of Biden’s ability to remember multiple relevant facts in his report. Hur’s report included several mentions of Biden’s inability to recall dates and referred to the president as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

“My assessment and the report about the relevance of the president’s memory was necessary, and accurate, and fair,” Hur said in his opening remarks.
