SPC recognizes 2024 Employee Excellence Award winners

LEVELLAND – South Plains College honored three non-faculty employees with an Employee Excellence Award at its annual Employee Banquet on May 9.

The award recognizes non-faculty employees who have demonstrated exemplary service to the college that is student-focused and makes a difference in the achievement of institutional objectives. Employees are nominated for the award by other employees and are recommended for the award by a selection committee comprised of previous recipients.

The following are the recipients of the 2024 Employee Excellence Award:

  • Gregg Walker, electrician, received the Employee Excellence Award for Maintenance and Student Housing Personnel.

  • Juanita Yanez, library technical assistant, received the Employee Excellence Award for Classified Personnel.

  • Kayla Perrin, director of Information Services/Customer Support, received the Employee Excellence Award for Support Services Personnel.
