Sparrow to be known as University of Michigan Health-Sparrow
LANSING — Sparrow Health System, now part of the Michigan Medicine network, will be known going forward as University of Michigan Health-Sparrow.
The name change officially takes effect in April 2024. Until then, "Sparrow Health System" will be used in internal and external communications, officials said Monday in a news release.
Sparrow became part of the University of Michigan Health on April 1. Michigan Medicine is now a $7.8 billion organization, the second-largest health care company in the state.
