Spanish Fort Police find dead hog floating near Causeway

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) — A dead hog was found floating Friday morning in Mobile Bay, News 5 has learned.

UPDATE: Second Stockton shooting suspect arrested — accused in murder of 24-year-old

The Spanish Fort Police Department, Spanish Fort Fire Department, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, along with Daphne Search and Rescue, responded to the report of a body being found.

ALEA launched an airboat, and the SFPD used a drone to search the waters.

Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber said the body was discovered to be a hog after a drone launch.

No word yet on where the hog came from and how long it was in the bay.
