Spain providing Leopard tanks and Patriot air defense missiles in latest military aid package to Ukraine
The latest military aid package from Spain includes Leopard tanks, Patriot missiles, air defense systems, and other weaponry, Ukrainian Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, announced on Facebook on May 22.
"Patriot air defense missiles, 155mm artillery shells, anti-drone systems, and other weaponry are ncluded in the new aid package from Spain" Umerov wrote.

He thanked Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles for the support and emphasized that Ukraine needs more air defense systems to counter Russia effectively.
"This will enable Ukrainian defenders to counter aircraft and guided aerial bombs that Russians use to destroy our cities and villages," Umerov said.

Umerov also urged the Spanish government and companies to invest in Ukraine's defense industry, highlighting the importance of bolstering the country's defense capabilities.
