SpaceX Releases 60 'Flatpack' Satellites As Part of Global Internet Program

SpaceX launched a rocket carrying 60 satellites from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on May 23.

The Starlink satellites, which the company says are capable of providing high-speed internet, were released into orbit at the same time. It was the highest number of satellites the company has deployed at once.

SpaceX live-streamed video of the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket and satellite deployment on Thursday night.

This was the third attempt at the launch after two earlier launches were reportedly abandoned due to weather and software issues.
