Southern University Human Jukebox to perform with Grammy-winning artist at Super Bowl celebration

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Southern University Human Jukebox is heading to Las Vegas to play a Super Bowl celebration.
The marching band will perform with Grammy award-winning gospel artist Kirk Franklin during the television program Soulful Celebration, according to Director of Bands Dr. Kedric Taylor. The program airs on Saturday, Feb. 10. The program will be pre-recorded.
Taylor said the band will fly to Las Vegas on Monday, Feb. 5, and return to Baton Rouge on Thursday, Feb. 8.
The Soulful Celebration was launched at Super Bowl XXXIII in 1999 in Miami, Florida.

This year, the Soulful Celebration is hosted by comedian Cedric the Entertainer and actress Tichina Arnold for its 25th Anniversary.
The Human Jukebox will return to Louisiana to participate in the Krewe of Bacchus Mardi Gras parade on Sunday, Feb. 11.
