Southern staple BBQ joint in talks to open in Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — An Alabama-based BBQ restaurant that has expanded across the South may be coming to Circle City.

A spokesperson from Jim N’ Nicks BBQ tells WDHN the company is in talks to set up shop in the former O’Charley’s at 3320 Montgomery Highway, but nothing is finalized.

The rumors have sparked a major response on social media, with over 100 people commenting on Facebook, expressing excitement about the possible BBQ joint coming to the Circle City.

The first Jim N’ Nicks was opened in Birmingham in 1985. Over the years, the restaurant has set up 42 locations across six southern states.
