Southampton detectives searching for robbery suspects

COURTLAND, Va. (WAVY) – Detectives with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in an April 4 robbery.

According to officials, the robbery occurred in the 25000 block of Oak Trail, near the New Stevens Woods apartments.

The victim said she was in the parking lot when three men approached and stole her purse, credit cards and cash. She was also assaulted during the crime and received a minor injury as a result, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives provided a photo of the suspects, which can be found below:

According to detectives, the male on the far right has already been identified as 24-year-old Dalveon Ricks. Arrest warrants have been obtained for violation of abduction, two counts use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask in a public place with intent to conceal identity, robbery, assault and battery, credit card theft and grand larceny.

Investigators believe he is still in the area. If you see him, contact law enforcement immediately. Officials say do not approach him.

Detectives are still working to identify the individuals on the far left and in the center of the image released to the public.
