DORCHESTER – Call it beginner's luck.

The Lottery's “$4,000,000 Lion’s Share” $10 instant ticket game started April 16, and not long after that, Jason Coulstring, of Whitman, bought a ticket on a visit to Route 18 Super Store in Abington.

He walked out $4 million richer.

Coulstring pocketed the first $4 million prize associated with the new scratch ticket. He opted for a one-time, $2,600,000 prize payout, before taxes.

He said he plans to complete some home improvements and buy his wife a new car with his newfound riches.

The store also benefits from Coulstring's good luck, receiving a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

According to the Lottery, this was the first $4 million grand prize awarded of three associated with the game, and additionally there are five $1 million grand prizes available.
