South Georgia Technical College announces summer semester registration date

AMERICUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Summer classes begin Thursday, May 23 for South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) but there’s still time to register for the semester.

In-person registration will take place May 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Americus campus and at the Crisp County center in Cordele. On the Americus campus, students report to the welcome table in the Odom Center between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to receive their registration sheet.

“The Summer term is only eight weeks long and South Georgia Technical College provides students the use of text books at no cost,” said South Georgia Technical College President John Watford. “Many students will be eligible for the HOPE Grant, HOPE Scholarship, or Federal financial aid and will be able to attend at no personal cost.”

The college offers both online and in-person courses. Academic resources are available to help students navigate the summer semester.
