South Africa's retail sales rise 4.8 percent y/y in March

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African retail sales rose 4.8 percent year-on-year in March after increasing by a revised 4.2 percent in February, data from the statistics office showed on Wednesday. On a month-on-month basis, sales were flat. Sales rose 4.1 percent in the three months to the end of March compared with the same period last year, Statistics South Africa said.
