Sharpshooter Marco Belinelli plans to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers once he clears waivers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Belinelli’s deal will be for the remainder of the season for the veteran’s minimum, league sources said.

Belinelli entered free agency on Saturday after a contract buyout with the Atlanta Hawks and will clear waivers on Monday. Belinelli has averaged 11.4 points while shooting 37.2 percent from 3-point range in 52 games this season.

Several teams searching for wing shooting and playmaking discussed trades for Belinelli at the NBA trade deadline Thursday, including a pursuit from Philadelphia. The Hawks, however, were unable to find a suitable deal, and now Belinelli will provide an additional shooter alongside the 76ers’ talented core of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

In 10 NBA seasons, Belinelli has averaged 9.8 points on 37.7 percent 3-point shooting while playing for Golden State, Toronto, New Orleans, Chicago, San Antonio, Sacramento, Charlotte and Atlanta. He was part of the Spurs’ championship team in 2014.
