Miami Heat forward Justise Winslow’s MRI results on his injured left knee returned clean, and the hope is that he will return within a week, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Winslow suffered the injury in the Heat’s home loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night and underwent further testing on Thursday. He did not travel for the Heat’s road game in Charlotte on Friday night.

Winslow has played multiple positions and given the Heat defensive versatility in his third NBA season, averaging 6.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 27 games (15 starts). The Heat are 1½ games out of the eighth postseason spot in the Eastern Conference and remain without center Hassan Whiteside, who is also dealing with a knee injury.

Winslow, 21, was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft after helping lead Duke to a national championship.
