Sources: Aron Baynes agrees to 2-year, $11M deal to return to Celtics

Free-agent center Aron Baynes has agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal to return to the Boston Celtics, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Baynes has a player option in the second season of the deal, league sources said.

Baynes was a valuable post defender in his first season in Boston, averaging six points and 5.4 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game.

Baynes, 31, also showed some range during the postseason, shooting 47.8 percent on 23 3-point attempts in 19 games.

In six seasons with San Antonio, Detroit and Boston, Baynes has averaged 5.4 points and 4.4 rebounds.
