Soundside Splendor sets new record for Children's Home Society

Children’s Home Society of Florida’s 19th annual Soundside Splendor fundraiser returned to the Portofino Island Resort on Pensacola Beach to raise more than $357,000.

This record-breaking amount of money raised by the organization will directly impact children and families throughout Pensacola and the Panhandle through the various programs that Children's Home Society provides the community.

“Each year I am blown away by the support we receive from our community and this year was no exception,” said Leah Harrison, CHS regional executive director. “It is heartwarming to see so many businesses, individuals and community leaders rally together behind our CHS mission of building bridges to success for children.”

With the generosity, time, and talent of local chefs, businesses and community leaders, attendees, volunteers, and auction donors, this year’s sold-out event was a record-breaker for the organization. Co-chairs for the event included members of the CHS Board of Directors Dr. Brady Antonio, Morgan Luongo, and Haley Papajohn.

“It was simply a magnificent day, seeing passionate members of our community step up to support children and families in Pensacola and beyond,” said Antonio. “We have amazing sponsors, chefs, board members and Portofino’s team who truly took it to a new level this year fundraising on behalf of this amazing organization.”
