Someone Made Brussels Sprouts Sliders and the Internet Is Just Not Having It
We're all for a creative Thanksgiving appetizer idea, but apparently, there are some dishes that just shouldn't be messed with. The New York Times learned that the hard way after sharing an interesting recipe for vegetarian sliders using, wait for it, Brussels sprouts-and people are upset.

Split in two, the roasted sprouts supposedly serve as buns, surrounding a center of caramelized onion, mustard, and tempeh confit instead of meat. Although the combination of flavors sound altogether fine, people on the Internet seemed to take offense to the app's presentation.
When the Times tweeted the recipe with the caption "Your new favorite Thanksgiving appetizer," many disagreed, and very strongly at that.
"I would rather eat my own fingers," replied author Kealan Patrick Burke.
