Solon shuts down Harper Road due to water main break

SOLON, Ohio (WJW) — Cleveland Water Department is currently on scene after a water main break has caused a major road closure in Solon Sunday.

Solon police announced the shut down of Harper Road northbound near U.S. 422 around 4 p.m. due to flooding or the area.

“US 422 east ramp is still accessible but Harper Road is closed immediately after that (no access to US 422 west)” the department said in a Facebook statement.

It is not yet clear when this stretch of Harper Road will be available for public use again. In the meantime, drivers are asked to find alternative routes.

Those who need to head north on Harper Road from 422, should instead exit at SR-91, police suggested.
