The Manhattan DA’s Office on Monday will try to convince an Arizona judge to ship a career criminal back to the Big Apple to face murder charges in the brutal slaying of a Queens mom inside a Soho hotel room — over the objections of prosecutors in Phoenix.

The extradition of 26-year-old Raad Almansoori, who also faces attempted murder charges in Arizona, has become a political dogfight between New York City prosecutors and the Republican Maricopa County Attorney.

After weeks of legal wrangling, the decision will be hashed out in a hearing in Superior Court in Phoenix on Monday afternoon, the County Attorney’s Office told The Post.

Maricopa prosecutor Rachel Mitchell fired the first salvo last month after Almansoori was arrested in Scottsdale and charged with carjacking one woman and attacking another at a local McDonald’s — telling reporters she didn’t trust Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to keep the suspect locked up.

“I’ve instructed my extradition attorneys not to agree to that,” she said on Feb. 19. “We’re gonna keep him here. These are mandatory prison sentences. Having observed the treatment of violent criminals in the New York area by the Manhattan DA there, Alvin Bragg, I think it’s safer to keep him here.”

Michell, who was elected in 2022, later said she would consider extraditing Almansoori back to Manhattan, but only after her office prosecutes the suspect for the pending cases on her turf.

Almansoori is the main suspect in the Feb. 7 beating death of Denisse Oleas-Arancibia, 38, at the Soho 54 Hotel, allegedly leaving the scene wearing the victim’s pink tights and hopping a flight to Arizona.

The hulking suspect was busted in the Grand Canyon State on Feb. 18 and has since been indicted on attempted murder, assault, sexual assault and other charges in the alleged two-day crime spree there.

Bragg, however, sought to have Almansoori extradited back to New York to face the more serious charge of murder.

At a subsequent press conference, Bragg accused Mitchell of “simple old-fashioned grandstanding and politics.”

“It is deeply disturbing to me that a member of my profession, a member of law enforcement, would choose to play political games in a murder case,” he said on Feb. 22. “The conversation should be about victims, victims’ families: that’s what we do in Manhattan.”

He said extradition proceedings between states is part of a common courtesy typically resolved with a phone call — with murder cases taking precedence.

“What I’m hoping is that we will have regular professional conversations about the nuts and bolts administration of the law,” he added. “That’s what we need to do.”

He noted that the murder rate in the Big Apple is less than half that of Phoenix.

Almansoori has not officially been charged in the Soho killing because he remains in Arizona.

Police said the suspect confessed to the murder when he was arrested.

The NYPD said Oleas-Arancibia was working as an escort and booked a date with Almansoori when she got into a dispute with the suspected killer over how much time he had paid for, leading to the fatal attack.

The Almansoori allegedly later told cops he tried to strangle the Queens mom before deciding to beat her to death, complaining that she “just wouldn’t die,” prosecutors said.

He tried to break her neck as he choked her, stomped on her head several times and later put a sock over her head in an effort to suffocate her, Goebel said Almansoori told him, according to Arizona Central.

Following the brutal attack, Almansoori flew into Arizona, where he allegedly went on the violent spree that got him busted there.
