Sofía Vergara Basically Wore a Wedding Dress to the 2017 Emmys
Sofía Vergara married Joe Manganiello almost two years ago, but the Modern Family star is still giving us bridal vibes with her 2017 Emmys look. Vergara looked like a blushing bride at the award show in a strapless white Mark Zunino mermaid dress that hugged her every curve.
“He makes dresses that are perfect for voluptuous women,” she told E! on the red carpet of the stunning white gown. The actress allowed the dress take center stage by pulling her hair up into a high ponytail and dressing up the look simply with a pair of Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
While the Modern Family star is often cast in the role as the “hot girl,” she plays a very different role in her upcoming movie, which she filmed in Rome this summer. “I play a spy,” she said. “I’m not hot in the movie. I don’t always have to be hot.”
“I did bad makeup. I didn’t put eyelashes [on]—nothing. I don’t play myself. It was very hard,” Vergara joked.
The star also spilled some deets on her handsome hubby and his, ehm, interesting hobbies. “He’s a nerd. He claims that the highlight of his life is to play Dungeons and Dragons,” she added. “He comes together with like eight friends. I do a spread of food.”

“He sits there for six or eight hours playing Dungeons and Dragons,” she said. Sounds like these stars are even more like us than we thought.
