Socially Distant Santa Coming To Menlo Park Mall, Edison

EDISON, NJ — Looks like 2020 or the pandemic can’t stop Santa. As part of the Simon Santa Photo Experience, Santa will definitely be visiting the Menlo Park Mall in Edison, to take photos with children and families, beginning Nov. 20.

But this year, the experience will be a little different owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Santa and his little helpers will be wearing masks and socially distancing during their visit to the mall. Sitting on Santa’s lap is not allowed.

Santa Claus will be required to complete a health screening prior to taking photos with guests. He and his helpers will also be required to take daily temperature checks prior to starting his scheduled shift. In between shifts, Santa’s suit will be sprayed with disinfectants.

Guests need to have prior reservation before clicking a photo with Santa this year. Guests are expected to maintain social distance from Santa and his workers by 6 feet. There will be hand sanitizers placed across the mall and high traffic areas.

Guests can making reservations to see Santa beginning on Nov. 27 until Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

The socially distanced Santa visit rules apply at all Simon malls including Livingston Mall, Newport Centre, Ocean County Mall, Quaker Bridge Mall, Rockaway Townsquare, The Mills at Jersey Gardens, and The Shops at Riverside.
