Snyder restaurant fire caused by arson, officials seek public assistance

SNYDER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) — A fire at the old Shack Restaurant in Snyder was determined to have been arson, and officials are asking the public for assistance.

On March 11th, a fire broke out at the uninhabited Shack Restaurant on 25th Street. First responders worked for several hours to control and extinguish the flames.

Snyder Fire Chief and Fire Marshal Nathan Hines shared that the fire has been ruled Arson and that the department is seeking information from the public. If you have any information or leads, please contact (325) 515-5001.

“We must get this person or persons stopped before anyone is hurt or killed,” Hines wrote in a release.

If your report leads to the arrest of the arsonist, you may receive a reward of $500.
