Snowstorm photos: Snow causes chaos across Front Range

DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado’s biggest snowstorm in years is just getting started, and plows won’t be the only ones shoveling snow on Thursday.

While this snowstorm is set to last until Friday morning, some areas have already seen almost two feet of snow as of Thursday morning. Other places are expected to get almost three feet by the end of the storm.

These counties saw the most snow overnight Wednesday into Thursday

Before the sun rose on Thursday morning, Coloradans were already sending FOX31 pictures of their backyards, sidewalks and cars covered in snow.

As seen in the photos, snow is causing all sorts of destruction across the Front Range.

In Commerce City, police were on scene of a head-on collision, which destroyed the front end of both cars. Meanwhile, one woman photographed part of a 28-year-old tree splayed across in her backyard.

Another picture in Rollinsville shows snow up to one person’s waist.

Meanwhile, semitrucks are jackknifed on major highways, ski areas are closed and hundreds of flights are canceled. While the Colorado snow has already caused chaos, the storm is expected to continue until Friday morning.

FOX31 is still collecting pictures. We will add to the gallery continuously throughout the storm.
