Snow falls around the Poconos and northern Tier

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU)— First the rain and wind then some snow impacted parts of northeast Pennsylvania Wednesday night.

Parts of the Poconos and northern Pennsylvania saw up to three inches of snow in their area Thursday morning. These photos from Michael Flynn showed a solid coating of snow up in Preston Township, Wayne County.

Traffic cameras along Interstate 84 also showed a dusting on the roadway early Wednesday. PennDOT even reduced the speed limit overnight.

Some schools in the Poconos and the northern tier delayed the start of classes Thursday morning.
