‘SNL’ Writer Deletes Tweet That Barron Trump May Be ‘Homeschool Shooter’

“Saturday Night Live” writer Katie Rich allegedly posted and later deleted a tweet in which she said Donald Trump’s 10-year-old son, Barron Trump, would become the “country’s first homeschool shooter.”

Rich’s entire Twitter account has since been taken down.

According to Mediate, on Friday, Rich wrote, “Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter.” As noted by the post’s time stamp, the tweet was up for about three hours and then deleted… but her followers were quick to notice.

“SNL writer no doubt thinks bullying a 10-year-old CHILD is hilarious,” wrote one user. “This is truly sick. LEAVE BARRON ALONE!”

Even Curt Schilling stepped in, writing “So glad liberals have Rosie, Michael Moore, Cher, Madonna and this a–clown. Thought Presidents kids were off limits?”

However, one Twitter user defended Rich, writing, “Totally standing by the lady who said Barron will be the first homeschool shooter… when it’s right, it’s right.”

Mediaite added that Barron Trump is not homeschooled and is currently enrolled at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York. Melania Trump and Barron will remain in Manhattan and not move into the White House until he finishes school, Trump told reporters in November.

A representative for Rich has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
