SNHD confirms tuberculosis investigation at Las Vegas-area school

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Southern Nevada Health District has confirmed that there is a tuberculosis investigation underway at a Las Vegas-area elementary school.

According to SNHD, the investigation is taking place at Arturo Cambeiro Elementary which is located near Washington Avenue and Pecos Road.

“We [found] that someone has tested positive, people are identified as close contacts,” an SNHD spokesperson told 8 News Now on Tuesday.

SNHD also stated that there are people at that elementary school who are being notified of possible tuberculosis exposure.

In December, the SNHD conducted an investigation involving a person with active TB disease who had been at multiple school campuses.

It's a wrap: European Union lawmakers have given the final approval to set up the bloc's flagship, risk-based regulations for artificial intelligence.
