Smith joins CSAC to prevent alcohol misuse

Apr. 14—Amber Smith has joined the Clinton Substance Abuse Council as Project Coordinator for the Partnerships for Success to Prevent Alcohol Misuse grant.

The PFS-RAM grant represents an initiative to decrease heavy and binge drinking among adults in the community. CSAC aims to implement targeted strategies that educate the public about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption and provide support and resources for those in need.

Smith graduated from the Leadership Institute of Clinton County in 2021 and brings several years of experience in coordinator and supervisor roles to her position with CSAC in which she will lead efforts to address alcohol misuse among adults ages 45 and older in Clinton County with a focus on raising awareness and reducing alcohol-related deaths.

Members of the community will have the opportunity to meet Smith at CSAC's annual celebration that will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, May 17, in the cafeteria of the Clinton County Administration Building, 1900 North Third St.
