We are feeling so warm, snuggly and on the verge of falling asleep and it has everything to do with listening to “All the Small Things” by Blink-182 being played on a kalimba. In the brief Acoustic Trench video, a guy plays the band’s hit song from 2000 on the small instrument, unintentionally hipping us to something we didn’t know about “All the Small Things:” It sounds even better as a lullaby.

While we definitely advise against adding this undeniably charming rendition of Blink-182’s pop punk anthem to your playlist of morning songs to wake you up, we do recommend grabbing a blanket, curling up in a corner and listening to this clip over and over again, especially if you’re suffering from a stubborn case of insomnia.

Phew, we almost dozed off while Googling kalimba. Merriam defines it as “an African thumb piano derived from the zanza,” which is another African musical instrument.

Now that we’ve cleared that up, we’re about to take our own advice and doze off to these delightfully, sleep-inducing sounds.
