Small Rain Chances Return Today

The summer-like heat and humidity continue for Acadiana but small rain chances return later this Wednesday. Temperatures are in the mid-70s to start the day but will be back near 90° this afternoon with a heat index closer to 95°. Clouds will be more abundant today making for partly sunny skies. A few pop-up showers and storms are possible this afternoon and evening as rain chances run at 20%.

Besides the spotty showers today, the overall weather pattern remains quiet through the weekend. Forecast highs for Saturday and Sunday are at 93° with heat indices near 100°.
